What is Mouse :-
A mouse is a small pointing device and
handheld hardware input device that controls a cursor in computer. By the help
of mouse we can make any drawing and can select text, image, files, Icons in
computer. Mouse is used to select menu
in GUI(Graphical user interface) based
program.
Who Developed the Mouse:
The computer mouse as we know
it today was invented and developed by “Douglas
Engelbart”, with the
assistance of Bill English, during
the 1960's and was patented on November 17, 1970.
When first time mouse was used:
The mouse was originally
referred to as an "X-Y Position Indicator for a Display System" and
was first used with the Xerox Alto computer system in 1973.
On which computer it was used first time:
The first widely used mouse
is the mouse found on the Apple Lisa Computer.
Type of mouse:
We can divide mouse manly for
types.

1. Simple mouse
This mouse has one ball and
four wheels to move the pointer across the screen. This mouse has two buttons. Which
is called left and right butto?
To use this mouse a smooth
surface is necessary. This mouse uses a cable to connect with computer.
2. Scroll mouse
Scroll mouse is similar to
the simple mouse but it has scroll button between left and right button. The large
amount of data does not display on one page of the screen so display the next
page information on the screen we used scroll Button.
3.Optical mouse
The function of this mouse is
different from simple and scroll mouse. In this mouse sensor and photodectector
are used.When we move the mouse on the
surface then a laser beam fall down on the surface and return fall down to the
photodiode. This detector converts the optical data into electronic data. After
converting optical data into electronic data, it entered into computer system. And
data is processed by processor.

4.Wireless mouse.
This mouse is similar to the
optical mouse and the function of this mouse is also similar to the optical mouse.
it is connected to the computer without cable.In this mouse a ¼ or ½ inch antenna
are connected. It get signal from the another device that is connected to the
computer system.
